British ski instructor Val Thorens
I recommend private ski lessons as a great way to learn a lot in a short time. The advantages are:
The private ski lessons can be one to one, or for groups of family or friends, usually up to 8 people.
See the prices, with high and low season dates.
To book private lessons with me in Val Thorens, get in touch by email (that's usually the best way for an initial enquiry) or phone - see my contact page. I'll let you know when I'm available, and we can agree the days and times of the lessons, and the best meeting point. I'll then send you a booking confirmation.
Payment is usually by online tranfer in pounds to my UK
account, and the details will be on the booking confirmation. If you're
booking well in advance, I'll ask for a deposit, then the balance 2-3
weeks before you arrive. For bookings closer to the date of travel,
I'll ask for payment of the full amount. I'll advise about this by
I look forward to meeting you!
Top tip: keep the group small, with everyone of a similar standard, or book separate lessons.
Val Thorens is one of Europe's best ski resorts. Founded in 1971, it benefits from high altitude and excellent snow, as well as a fast, modern lift system. The resort has gone up market in recent years, with the opening of a number of luxury hotels. There are, though, still affordable places to stay.

I'm in an independent ski instructor, organising my own timetable and bookings, but I've remained within the overall structure of the ESF. This means that I still wear the ESF uniform, and if your children want to do private lessons, but take the ESF star tests, they can do that with me. If successful, I'll give them their ESF star badges.
